  This might come as a surprise, but a lot of people in India are close to native English speakers, with English being the primary language of instruction in both schools and colleges and being the language at offices too.
  
  As for assessment, I’d suggest that you create a lesson and take general feedback from LearnHubbers! This way, you’ll get a lot of insights from many people.

  There are 3 steps needed to make your English better:
  
  1. Read English Newspapers: Don’t read the tabloids and the gossip coloumns. Read the editorials – you will improve your language and also improve your general knowledge
  
  2. Listen to News: Listening to news in English will help you improve your understanding of pronunciation and will give you a feel for how good English sounds
  
  3. Speak more English: try this out with your friends and with people around you. The best way to get comfortable with English is to speak as much of it as possible.
