hello everyone i am riddhima from india and i am looking forward some help in the grammar section, i am writing down some of the mistakes that i committed and would be grateful if you could tell me that why a certain thing is particularly used in the way it is used and why is not the second option correct?.the mistakes are as follows-

1) your husband doesn’t believe that you are older than (I/me). 2) maybe we’re not as rich as (they/them), but i bet we’re a lot happier. 3) harriest feels that her (brothers-in-law/brother-in-laws) are impossible to get along with. 4) “what (kind of/kind of a) car are you looking for?” asked the salesman.

“I” is a pronoun that must be the subject of a verb. “Me” is a pronoun that must be the object of the verb,so the first one will be ‘Your husband doesn’t believe that you are older than me’.

Again.. ‘They’ cannot be the object of a sentence. So the Second will be ‘Maybe we are not as rich as them.’

The plural of Brother-in-law is Brothers-in-law, so Brother-in-laws is completely wrong.

In the fourth one kind of will be used because..I don’t know but Kind of will be used.
